Saturday October 11

Happy Monday morning!

Well even though today is Monday, and it would make sense to write about todays weather, I thought this past Saturday's weather was a little more interesting. So lets go!

So I woke up Saturday morning and it was really sunny outside and it looked like a good day. As soon as I walked outside though it felt a little different. It was so windy!! My brother had a soccer game that day so I thought the wind was going to make that a little more interesting and exciting. Before I went to the game I had to pick up my friend from the train station and then we were going to walk over to the soccer game. As I was sitting at the train station I still could not believe how windy it was! It was kind of funny seeing everyone at the train station trying to hide from the wind though! I remember this one guy who was wearing just a button down long sleeve shirt with jeans and tennis shoes and he kept walking up and down the platform with his hands shoved in his pockets trying to conceal one more part of his body from the win. He looked really anxious for the train and really annoyed by the weather.

Once my friend got there we started to walk to the soccer game. I was wearing a long blue scarf and it kept being blown from around my neck because the wind was so strong. It kind of got on my nerves but what can you do about it?

The wind ended up not making the game any more exciting or interesting, of course the players probably had a different opinion since the wind either gave their kicks more power or took it away depending on which way they were kicking. After the game my friend and I were going to take the train back to his house in San Bruno to watch the Mexico v Jamaica soccer game. The train taking us back ended up being half an hour late (I still have no idea why) so we just sat there in the wind for an hour and a half. Sure that was fun!... mmm NOT! Once the train got there it was packed, and I mean PACKED, full of people going to see the Blue Angels in San Francisco. When we got to San Bruno we walked back to his house and there was actually less wind in San Bruno than in Belmont. Strange? Any ways I stayed in San Bruno until 7 and then came home and there was no wind on my way home. That was a relief!

I think wind is a funny element of weather. It contorts our faces in funny ways, blows our hair into crazy forms, and stirs up the leaves and dirt in our front yards. It's refreshing sometimes and just a pain in the butt others.

Well hope your week starts out well!

Oh I totally know what yor talkin about! The weather is so crazy! It's October and it's supposed to be getting cooler. Today I dressed very wrong for the weather. I had snowboots with sweats and a sweater, and It was so hot today in Millbrae! At my job I stayed inside with the A/C because I was dying in my boots and sweats! I had a popsicle to cool down...icecream can fix the problem. =)
