K so on Teusday I wrote about how the meteorologist said that it was going to get hotter this week and about how I thought he was going to be wrong. Well now I'm chewing on my words because he was partially correct. The mornings have still been pretty cold, I've gone out with a couple of layers every day, but then in the afternoons it heats up. A little bit frustrating but the good thing about layers is you can always take them off to a certain extent. It's not like summer heat, but when I have to take the bus and then the train home it can be a little irritating!
That's all folks!
Happy Wednesday!

October 21st
Wahoo 9 more days until Halloween! I'm excited!
Anyways, so today is my favorite kind of weather again. Cold but sunny. Personally I think the meteorologists, or at least the one I heard, are wrong. I don't think that this week is going to warm up again. If it's still this cold tomorrow I'm going to stick with that it'll stay like that. My 7th grade English teacher was talking to us about the weather one time and she said, " Meteorologists have the easiest job in the world. They can be wrong all the time and still get paid!" No offense to anyone out there who knows, is related to, or is planning to become a meteorologist, but I have to admit that I do agree with her.
So yeah it's sunny and cold, but not much else is going on with the weather from my non-meteorologist eyes. Soooo...yep.
Happy Tuesday!... again : )

Hurricane Omar
So the blog that I chose to write about is a meteorologists blog from the Weather Channel.
When I first looked at his blog I thought that it was so long and that there was just going to be a bunch of mumble jumble about Hurricane Omar and its wind patterns. But then I started to try and think about the people who were being effected by Hurricane Omar and how this man's blog could be the only link some of them have to there home's and their town's right now.
When I write my blog I don't think about why weather would be important to any one, I guess mainly because sunny California days aren't that big of a threat or a life changing storm pattern, but I don't know? The whole time I've been writing this I just felt that this was stupid and why would people care about the weather, but I understand a little better now that in times of dangerous, life threatening weather, the people that are being effected by the weather can't keep their minds off of it. I'm imagining this man's blog to be almost like a life line for some people. Also kind of like a measure of loss and hope with in a community.
I'm not planning to make my blog like this meteorologists at all, but for the first time in the two weeks since we've started this assignment I've realized the importance of some blogs. I still think most other blogs, including mine, are just stupid and pointless and a waist of time, but when it's about things that could have a dramatic effect on your life it's a good little out reach for curious people who want to be informed.
Happy Tuesday!

how was the hot weather for you this past week?
So this past week got hot!
I really can't stand the heat, especially when it's "out of season". Like it's fall now, it's October, it's supposed to start to be getting windy and chilly but sha-bamb this heat seemed to be just out of no where!
I feel so wierd writing about how I feel about the weather. On days where I complain about it I feel paranoid because honestly, who cares this much about the weather???? and here I am sitting at my computer writing about something that just comes to my mind quickly but then I realize I barely have anything to say about it! And then on days where I enjoy the weather I'd just rather be outside then writing, or thinking about what I'm going to be writing.
The thing I love about fall is that you can just bundle yourself up in clothes and just stay inside and be all warm and cozy... I feel like there's always an escape from the cold, but there's no escape from the heat.
Today was nice though. I went to my Grandma's today in South City and it was foggy and cold there, but it was still nice because just coming in from outside into my Grandma's warm house just feels so comfy and cozy to me. When ever I think of winter and fall I always think of that Cambell's Soup commercial where there's like this little snowman and he starts to go inside and he sits down at a table with a big bowl of soup and all the sudden the snowman melts away and there's this little boy sitting there smiling : ) I think it's cute and that's how I always feel when I come inside from the cold outside, I just wrap myself in a blanket and feel so comfy and content
I heard that it's supposed to get hot again this week, so I'm going to try and be a little more optimistic, pleasant and tolerant of the heat so I don't seem so moody for a such a stupid little thing, even though we know we all do it!

Saturday October 11
Happy Monday morning!
Well even though today is Monday, and it would make sense to write about todays weather, I thought this past Saturday's weather was a little more interesting. So lets go!
So I woke up Saturday morning and it was really sunny outside and it looked like a good day. As soon as I walked outside though it felt a little different. It was so windy!! My brother had a soccer game that day so I thought the wind was going to make that a little more interesting and exciting. Before I went to the game I had to pick up my friend from the train station and then we were going to walk over to the soccer game. As I was sitting at the train station I still could not believe how windy it was! It was kind of funny seeing everyone at the train station trying to hide from the wind though! I remember this one guy who was wearing just a button down long sleeve shirt with jeans and tennis shoes and he kept walking up and down the platform with his hands shoved in his pockets trying to conceal one more part of his body from the win. He looked really anxious for the train and really annoyed by the weather.
Once my friend got there we started to walk to the soccer game. I was wearing a long blue scarf and it kept being blown from around my neck because the wind was so strong. It kind of got on my nerves but what can you do about it?
The wind ended up not making the game any more exciting or interesting, of course the players probably had a different opinion since the wind either gave their kicks more power or took it away depending on which way they were kicking. After the game my friend and I were going to take the train back to his house in San Bruno to watch the Mexico v Jamaica soccer game. The train taking us back ended up being half an hour late (I still have no idea why) so we just sat there in the wind for an hour and a half. Sure that was fun!... mmm NOT! Once the train got there it was packed, and I mean PACKED, full of people going to see the Blue Angels in San Francisco. When we got to San Bruno we walked back to his house and there was actually less wind in San Bruno than in Belmont. Strange? Any ways I stayed in San Bruno until 7 and then came home and there was no wind on my way home. That was a relief!
I think wind is a funny element of weather. It contorts our faces in funny ways, blows our hair into crazy forms, and stirs up the leaves and dirt in our front yards. It's refreshing sometimes and just a pain in the butt others.
Well hope your week starts out well!

welcome day's weather
Ummm, my first blog... honestly this feels kind of wierd, but ok!
For my blog I tried to think of something that I see or do everyday just to make it easier on myself and I finally decided to write about the weather because it's usually different everyday and everyone has different weather likes and dislikes. I thought it would be kind of fun and interesting to sit down, think, and write about the weather.
This isn't going to be a blog that's all technical with today's highs and lows and different weather patterns. It's going to be more about how I felt about the day's weather and how people's habits, patterns, and behaviors change along with the weather.
So today, October 8th, was my favorite kind of weather. It was sunny out but the air was cold. It just feels really refreshing because the sun keeps you warm but you don't get all sticky and sweaty because the air keeps you cool. I love spring and automn because I think it's so funny to see how differently people dress. Today I saw a girl in a dress and uggs ( which seems to be a very common outfit) and then walking right behind her was a girl in sweat pants and a sweat shirt with flip flops ( something that I often wear) but when ever I see those two different kinds of outfits around each other I find it really amusing because one dressed for the heat and the other dressed for the cold but they're both in the same temperature. What ever works for you though?
Happy October 8th!
